Star Citizen is meant to be a fun and enjoyable place for every Citizen of the 'verse. If you run into other players acting inappropriately in chat, harassing other players, or generally breaking our Rules of Conduct, please let us know.
In the current stages of Alpha development, we do not have a direct in-game reporting tool; however, reports can still be sent directly to our Game Support team for investigation via our support system. Each case will be individually reviewed and actions taken from there if any are required.
Please be sure to include any evidence you may have (i.e. screenshots, videos, time of incident, etc.) in the support ticket to make it easier for us to locate and determine the best course of action.
We will not be able to provide updates on another backer's account status once they have been reported. Penalties can range from warnings up to and including account suspensions.
We rely on our community to help make the 'verse a fun and immersive experience for everyone. Player reports are very helpful in policing bad behavior, and we understand that with a game as expansive as Star Citizen, player conflicts are bound to happen. Remember... You don’t have to attend every argument that you’re invited to.
The In-Game Block Feature
Players have the ability to moderate their own experience a bit through the use of the In-Game Block feature. This allows players to immediately block the chatter from anyone who is blatantly ignoring the rules of conduct or harassing them specifically. This can be done by locating the player's handle in the Comm list, right-clicking the name, and then choosing to block them. After this is done, all chat, voice comms and party invites from said player will be blocked.
Keep in mind: the existence of this option does not give players leave to violate the Rules of Conduct!
If someone is violating these rules of common decency, please do continue to report them to us as noted above. Once that has been done, you should also block them to ensure that the bad actor cannot bother you any further.
Harassment on Third-Party Platforms
We have on occasion received reports from players that they have been targeted by other Star Citizen players outside of the game and Spectrum, such as through direct messages on Facebook, Discord, Twitter, or other social media platforms. While we empathize with the situation, a player experiencing this will need to report the harassment to said social media platform to address.
CIG does not host any official Discord servers. Any harassment in Star Citizen-related Discord channels should be reported to that channel's moderators.
