There are a number of very popular ships that are made available to citizens in the 'verse. Due to the rarity of a few models, only a specific allocated stock can be made available at any given time.
Once the stock of a stock-limited pledge, be it a ship, upgrade, or anything else is gone, a prospective pilot will need to wait for their next chance to obtain one. A pledge that is out of stock will be noted by red Sold out text on the pledge store page.

A limited stock ship or pledge is not "reserved" by adding it to your cart. Only a fully completed order will secure the ship. To avoid potential payment issues that may cost you a chance at a limited stock ship beforehand, we recommend that you ensure that all of your billing information is up to date, both with RSI and with your payment provider. |
When will the next chance to get the ship or pledge come around?
There will be more opportunities for a chance to obtain limited stock ships through various promotions that we hold throughout the year. We cannot speculate on when a new promotion featuring a limited stock ship will be made available.
Do note that all ships available to pledge for during the development period will be obtainable in-game once the game has gone live.

We do monitor for bots and scripted activity on the back-end and block when it is happening, as well as limiting the stock of these ships to one per account but, in most cases, it really is a lot of individual backers who are passionate about that particular pledge all trying for it at once. With very limited stock for each wave, these ships are pledged for very quickly.
