Losing your items is never a good experience, especially ones that you have paid for to help support the development of Star Citizen! In the past, losing a pledge item meant that players must wait until the next major content patch to recover them when the database refreshes itself. Now, we have added the beginnings of a new way to recover lost pledge items.
Ideally, this system will end up with its own separate kiosk, but the current, limited iteration is available through the Freight Manager.

Getting to the Recovery Interface
Finding the recovery interface is very easy:
- Go to any Freight Manager kiosk.
- Press F to interact with the kiosk interface.
- Once in the freight manager, note the green CLAIM MODE button in the upper right.
- This button will be dimmed and unusable to start.
- Lower the freight elevator using the arrow buttons in the lower left.
- The CLAIM MODE button will now be lit up! Click this button.
- The claim window will open, presenting with a list of claimable items.
- Locate the desired item to recover and click CLAIM.
After pressing the claim button, the item will be immediately sent to your Local Inventory.
FAQs
What items can I recover?
Currently, the claim interface allows for the recovery of ship-related items. In a future patch, this will be expanded to also allow the recovery of FPS-related items.
This will not allow the recovery of items acquired in-game, such as through looting or purchasing at a store.
What happens to the previous item after I claim a new one?
When you claim an item from the claim window during this process, it functions exactly like an insurance claim. Just like when filing an insurance claim, the previous iteration of the item will be bricked and become unusable. For this reason, avoid claiming more than you need to from this interface or else your inventory will be flooded with bricked items!
What are plans for the future of this feature?
The plan is to eventually allow players to recover nearly all lost pledge items. As timelines and plans are subject to change, we can't go into specifics on when future updates will happen. We know the current iteration is very rough, but it was something we wanted to get in front of players to use and gather feedback.

I've encountered an issue with Pledge Recovery! What do I do?
If the pledge recovery isn't working as expected, then gather information on what happened and head to the Issue Council to report it. It is very important that such issues are reported there so our teams can investigate further quickly.
