We allow you to modify most of your account information through our site's Account link (top right or the page). Not all information can be changed, to ensure the security of your account. If you need help changing information, you can contact RSI Player Relations.
Your email is associated to your account and used for account recovery, password changes, and receiving information from RSI, Spectrum, and support tickets. You can change your email address anytime through the Security tab of your Account.
The email must be unique across all RSI accounts.
- Where do I find it? You can locate your email through the Security tab of your account. You will be prompted for your password to view this page.
- Can it be changed? Unlimited.
Handle
The handle is your nickname seen by friends in game and in Spectrum. You can change your Handle one time for free through your Account. After that initial change, you will need to purchase a Handle Change Pass.
The Handle must be unique across all RSI accounts. Your handle cannot contain a dash, underscore, or space at the beginning or end, and certain accented letters and other punctuation are not supported at this time.
- Where do I find it? You can locate your Handle through the Account Overview page.
- Can it be changed? 1 time free change.
Once initiating a handle change, you will be given a warning that both the handle change will be used and you will have 7 days to reclaim your old handle should you change your mind.
Important! As suggested above, old handles that are freed up through a handle change are locked from use for 7 days before someone can use them again.
RSI Support will not assist with freeing up handles from inactive accounts.
Login ID
The Login ID is an option that can be used in place of your email address to access your account. Once set, it will serve the same function as your email address does to provide access to all services that require you to login to your RSI account. If you have forgotten your Login ID after setting it, you can instead login using your registered email address.
The Login ID must be unique across all RSI accounts.
- Where do I find it? You can locate the options for using a Login ID through the Security tab of your account. You will be prompted for your password to view this page.
- Can it be changed? No. Once it is set, that is it. It will never be used for anything but accessing your account.
Community Moniker
The Community Moniker displays under your Handle in Spectrum forum posts. You can change your moniker anytime, as many times as you like. This is not your character name in game and is used solely for interactions on our forums and chat channels on the Spectrum website.
By default, this is set to match your account Handle.
The Community Moniker does not have to be unique.
- Where do I find it? You can locate your Handle through the Account Overview page.
- Can it be changed? Unlimited.
How to change account information
- Visit our site and login to your Account.
- On the Account Overview page, scroll to Identification.
- To change the Handle, you can consume your 1x free change. Click and enter a new handle. Any further changes will require purchase.
- To change the Community Moniker, click and enter a new moniker. Save.
- To change your email, click Security. Enter your password when prompted. Click and enter a new email, or a previous email if not currently in use on an account.
Change your physical address
You can change or add addresses to your Address Book. This will not affect any physical order you have already entered. For information on physical orders and tracking, see Tracking physical merchandise orders.
- Visit our site and login to your Account.
- On the following screen, select Address Book from the left-hand menu.
- The page displays a list of physical addresses added to your account. You can add a New Address, or edit an existing.
- Click on an existing address to change it.
- All address details must be valid. Enter information in all required fields. Click Save.
