After signing into the RSI Launcher, it will check the RSI Account used to login to see if it has a game package, as one is required to play. In the event that the RSI Account used to login to the launcher doesn't have one, the player will be presented with a message (shown below) informing them of the missing game package.
To resolve this, the solution is to head to the RSI Pledge Store and acquire a Game Package for your account. Here is a link to the store to let you browse the available game packages:
RSI Pledge Store - Game Packages
Already have a game package but unexpectedly received this message upon logging into the launcher? There could be a few reasons as to why, which are listed below.
Reclaimed Game Package
This is the most common reason for players to encounter this message. When trying to put together enough store credits to pledge for a different ship or ship package, sometimes players will mistakenly reclaim their game package in their quest for credits to change up their fleet.
Login to the RSI Website and then into your RSI Account, then visit your hangar to check to see if your game package is gone. An easy way to check is to filter your hanger items to show your game packages.
Should nothing be listed under the game packages filter and you had one before, it's likely it was reclaimed by accident. If it was reclaimed, it will be available in the buy back options to recover that way, however using a very limited buy back token on a game package may not be the best option since they are readily available at all times. Simply pledging for a new one is likely the easiest fix.
Logged into Wrong RSI Account
While not common, some players do have multiple RSI Accounts registered to multiple different emails. Double check that the email address used to login to the launcher is the one associated with your primary RSI Account that has your game package and any other pledges.
If you are not certain what email address was used, or no longer have access to it, contact RSI Support for assistance. We can help locate your game package and update account information once we verify some ownership details. Including the order ID# for your game package in the ticket information would be ideal.
Game Package was Gifted Away to Another Player
Giving gifts to friends is a fulfilling experience, though in this case it might cause some confusion if a player's only game package was sent away to someone else as a gift. As with all gifts, once the player has accepted it, it is permanently gone from your account as it no longer belongs to you.
Should you have given away your last game package, you'll need to pledge for a new one to continue to play.
Returning after a Free Fly
One of the only ways a potential citizen can enjoy the game without any pledges or purchases is to play during one of our Free Fly events. During these special times, anyone can login and play the game without the need to purchase a game package.
After the event ends, players will once again be required to own a game package on their RSI Account to play, and this can cause some confusion if players were not expecting to need one or didn't know they were playing during one of these Free Fly periods.
As before, to play you'll need to pledge for a game package.
